Naomi
Coombs (Pass Plus) - From this Charity drive I’ve gained
more experience on the road. I have had great fun with everyone.
Everyone has done really well and I’m very happy I was part of
this event. I hope this helps fight meningitis.
Gemma
Dunlop - From doing this drive I feel I have gained a lot
more confidence. It was a really enjoyable experience and we all
had a good laugh. I really hope this helps with meningitis and
that we have raised a lot of money for the Charity.
Ross
Ludlow - From this journey I have learnt a lot about
something called a Clutch and Roundabouts, which in previous
lessons with Paul I was not probably clued up! On a serious note
it’s been a good experience and I have had great fun meeting other
drivers and learning a lot more and gaining more confidence.

Jane
Wasley - I really enjoyed this trip. It was a right
laugh and helped to build my confidence up in driving in different
areas and times of day. I would really recommend that if someone
was offered the chance to do it, they go for it.
Rosie
Smith - I enjoyed the trip very much. It was fun and
great for learner drivers. At times the trip seemed very long but
the cause and the money we raised has made it all worth while. I
would definitely do this again. It was a great and unique
experience.
Tom
Creswick - From doing this drive I feel that I have
achieved a lot. For starters, I gained massive driving experience
and of course we managed to raise a considerable amount of money
to give to Charity.

Tessa Steventon - During the drive to
Lands End and back I enjoyed meeting new people and driving
through new challenging areas like Southampton. However I did feel
a bit bored and tired during the last few miles home. I feel I
have gained in confidence when driving during the trip/drive. I
have also learnt how to cope in certain road situations as well as
gaining confidence in driving at speed on dual carriageways. Laura
Evis - From doing this Charity drive I’ve met great new
people, gained confidence in my driving ability and had a great
time even when we got lost. I hope that the Charity gains lots of
money from this fund raising event.
Rebecca
Brooks - The trip was a fantastic experience. I feel
that my driving has improved and my confidence as a driver has
accelerated! I have made many friends that I will keep in contact
with and I don’t think I will ever forget this exciting and very
memorable occasion.

Rowe - This driving challenge has taught me a lot, not
only about driving and safety on the road but also about
meningitis. I feel I have gained great confidence on busy roads,
driving in bad weather and also night driving. Most of all we had
a great time and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
Amy Phelps - I am very grateful to have
been a part of the drive for charity. Doing this drive I have
gained a lot of experience on the road and I also learnt how to
map read. I had a lot of fun on the drive and very pleased we
raised all that money.
Lauren Hatt -
I am really pleased that I was asked to take part in the L Plate
Challenge and feel I have gained a lot more driving experience
whilst raising money for a worthwhile cause. I had a really fun
time and a lot of laughs along the way. I really hope the money
raised will be helpful in fighting meningitis.

driving experience which would not have been possible without the
challenge. I am also pleased to have done something for a good
Charity.
Jenny
Kuhn - This experience has not only given me valuable
driving practice but has also made me more aware of those less
fortunate than us. And overall ….. IT WAS FUN!!!!
Kate
Southall - I am proud of doing something so challenging
for Charity and raising over £300 for meningitis. Also gaining
valuable driving experience along the way.

Chris Misselbrook - The L Plate
Challenge was an experience for me. I also gained the knowledge
of how poor Exeter is for driving, having to go through it
twice! In all seriousness though I feel the drive has helped me
as a learner to gain good road experience out of the beloved
Chichester. Good luck to the walkers, thanks to everyone and good
luck for the drivers for next years Challenge.
Emma Bell - I learnt that you put your
foot down on amber lights and the horn is a good way to show you
are annoyed. A swear box is not a good idea because now we are all
skint and Paul needs to write out a very big cheque. Cornwall
needs to cut its hedges – it’s not us, its them. I loved my time
driving. I feel so confident now, I want to take my test. I hope
we raised a good amount for MFMF and I hope Paul doesn’t quit his
job. Thank you everyone, I had a great time.
Kirsty Enticott - By driving to Lands End
and back I believe I have gained a lot of experience and picked up
on bits I was doing wrong e.g. driving without looking at the gear
stick and using my mirrors properly. Since driving in the dark I
have realised I can do it. I am glad that I did the L Plate
because it’s helping a great cause and will save many lives. I
have realised that driving is a lot harder than you think, as it
takes a lot of concentration as you have to think about the other
road users on the road with you and you have to be two steps
ahead. You also have to know what they’re going to do before they
do it. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Paul
and the whole of PDW drivers and the family of Martin Finch
(Jackie and Ray) for giving me this fantastic experience which is
a once in a life time opportunity that I have achieved.

FUND said
On Behalf of everyone connected with the fund we are
delighted by the success of the L PLATE CHALLENGE and the enthusiasm
of those who took part. The funds raised will be used to support a
Meningitis awareness campaign on local radio and fund important
medical research. Without support such as this it would be impossible
for us to do the work we do. Our heart felt thanks to everyone
involved in this wonderful challenge where young people had fun and
raised a large sum of money to help others.
